Position Overview:

Objective:

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead sanitation personnel and ensure that our facility maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, thereby producing safe, high-quality products.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Sanitation Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise sanitation staff and assign cleaning tasks according to scheduled intervals throughout the facility.
  • Ensure that all Redzone Master Sanitation requirements are met by sanitation personnel and document progress using an Apple iPad.
  • Oversee the cleaning and sanitizing of all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) areas.
  • Provide training to employees on proper sanitation practices to ensure comprehensive skill coverage.

Chemical Management:

  • Monitor daily chemical titrations to ensure compliance with established specifications and verify documentation. Report any discrepancies to the Sanitation Supervisor or Manager.

Safety Protocols:

  • Educate and guide staff on the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), control points, and resources to maintain compliance with GMPs, policies, and procedures, promoting a safe and clean work environment.
  • Assist maintenance teams by overseeing proper equipment usage and requesting repairs as necessary.

Additional Requirements:

  • Diagnose and repair sanitation systems, equipment, and tools as needed.
  • Complete training in ATP Swabbing and other duties as assigned by the Sanitation Manager.

Authority:

  • Lead and coach sanitation staff effectively.
  • Report personnel issues to the Sanitation Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership and integrity, with a commitment to upholding company policies.
  • Knowledge of GMPs and certification in Food Safety Management & HACCP Principles.
  • Familiarity with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Ability to accurately complete electronic records in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of cleaning chemicals and Safety Data Sheets.
