Job Title: Special Education Support Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Support Professional to join our team at ProCare Therapy. As a Special Education Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement IEPs and adapt instructional materials to meet the unique needs of students.
• Provide One-on-One and Small Group Instruction: Deliver personalized instruction to students with special needs, promoting academic and social growth.
• Maintain a Positive and Structured Classroom Environment: Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
• Assist Students with Disabilities: Help students with disabilities access the general education curriculum, promoting equal opportunities for learning.
• Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with students, staff, and parents to ensure seamless communication and support.
• Document Progress and Incidents: Accurately document student progress and any incidents that may occur during the school day.
• Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with other staff members to support student needs and ensure continuity in instruction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or Related Field: Possess a degree in Special Education or a related field, such as Elementary Education.
• Connecticut Teaching Certification or Substitute Teaching Certificate: Hold a valid teaching certification in Special Education or a Substitute Teaching Certificate.
• Experience Working with Students with Disabilities: Previous experience working with students with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong Understanding of Learning Disabilities and Instructional Strategies: Possess a strong understanding of various learning disabilities and instructional strategies.
• Excellent Communication, Organizational, and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
