The Rehabilitation Services Counselor will deliver advanced professional guidance to assist individuals with disabilities in securing employment as a pathway to self-sufficiency, independence, and societal integration. Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting individuals with disabilities in identifying their employment goals and creating personalized employment plans.
  • Providing or coordinating a wide range of services, including training, assistive technology, and job placement.
  • Offering significant counseling and support to help clients recognize their strengths, adapt to challenges, and understand labor market trends.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, or related disciplines, along with at least one year of experience working directly with individuals with disabilities in various settings.

Additional education requirements may apply based on selected standards.

  • Security Clearance: A background check is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families as a condition of employment.
