As a Medical Professional Leader - Patient Care Expert at the Medical University of South Carolina, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. Job Summary

The Clinical Staff Leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our patient care units, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service. This includes leading a team of healthcare professionals, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.



Responsibilities


  • Oversee the daily operations of patient care units, including staffing, patient flow, and quality of care
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, technicians, and other support staff
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions and communication
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient data, staff performance, and unit metrics


Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor of Nursing degree or an Associates of Nursing degree and currently enrolled in an accredited BSN program with one year of work experience as a Registered Nurse. Certification in a specialty area is strongly preferred, and successful completion of CSL competency-based training is required within a designated time period. Additionally, you must have a strong understanding of healthcare trends, community and regional resources, and service availability to our patient populations.



Physical and Mental Demands

This role requires the ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking, as well as the ability to climb stairs, work indoors, and work outside in temperature extremes. You must also be able to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes, and have good peripheral vision capabilities. Additionally, you must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted, as well as exert up to 50 lbs. of force, and work in a latex safe environment.

The Medical University of South Carolina offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
