We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Technician to join our team at Solomon Page. As an Orthopedic Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of our orthopedic services.
Responsibilities:- Fitting patients with braces, both off the shelf and custom, to ensure proper fit and comfort.
- Instructing patients on the proper use and care of DME products to promote optimal outcomes.
- Applying and removing casts and splints with precision and care.
- Providing patients with clear instructions on cast care to prevent complications.
- Reviewing new and proposed braces for applicability to our patient population and making recommendations to physicians.
- Maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs and ensuring timely delivery of DME products.
- Auditing DME invoices for accuracy and negotiating product pricing with vendors to optimize costs.
- Obtaining insurance authorization for product dispensing as necessary and staying up-to-date on insurance company protocols.
- Assisting medical assistants with their duties as needed to ensure seamless patient care.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced orthopedic environment.
- Ability to handle multiple providers and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Current CA state license to practice as an Orthopedic Technician.
