Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a box truck to transport medical materials, including specimens and sensitive medical supplies.
  • Load and unload medical items from the vehicle, ensuring proper maintenance and safety precautions.
  • Deliver items to the correct destinations according to routing specifications.
  • Operate a pallet jack to move, stack, and unstack pallets between locations.
  • Interact with customers and coworkers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and legible delivery records and follow standard pickup and delivery procedures.
  • Communicate with dispatch and management regarding delays or changes in delivery status.
  • Inspect, clean, and perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a box truck driver or similar role.
  • Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be HIPAA compliant at all times (training provided).
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic, integrity, and attention to detail.
Physical Demands

The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions:

  • Frequent driving and getting in and out of the vehicle.
  • Ability to operate a manual pallet jack.
  • Frequent walking, climbing, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
  • Wearing appropriate attire and footwear for comfort and support while driving, bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must be able to hear with specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The position is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $21.00 per hour, reflecting the company's commitment to competitive compensation and benefits packages.
