Key Responsibilities:
- Collects data on all patients within the appropriate time of admission utilizing skills of observation, communication, and examination.
- Revises the patient's care plan on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.
- Functions independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas, evidenced by adherence to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment and no pattern or trend of problem.
- Handles/transports/stores/prepares/administers/solutions safely in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Monitors and reports patient's condition, evaluates patient response to treatment, and modifies plan of care appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Documents accurately and timely.
- Facilitates staff development.
