Role Summary
The primary responsibility of the CNA is to deliver compassionate, hands-on care and emotional support to residents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a specific group of residents during your shift, ensuring their safety and well-being through regular checks.
- Monitor and document any changes in residents' conditions, including physical and behavioral observations.
- Respond promptly to security alerts and resident calls for assistance.
- Communicate any increased care needs to the supervisor or Health Care Coordinator.
- Assist with continence management and maintain sanitation standards in resident suites and common areas.
- Support residents during meal times, noting any refusals or changes in appetite.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of residents' living spaces and work areas.
- Adhere to hygiene and health standards to promote overall well-being.
- Encourage residents' independence and uphold their dignity and safety.
- Engage residents in daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Facilitate participation in life enrichment activities and skills development.
- Provide assistance to all visitors, including family members, guests, and team members.
- Perform laundry duties for residents as assigned.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nurse's Aide is required.
- A high school diploma or GED is necessary.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior experience in senior care is preferred.
