Speech-Language Pathologist for School District

Soliant is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in a school district near Killeen, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing speech and language disorders in students, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and providing direct therapy services to students.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students, utilizing standardized assessments and clinical judgment.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique needs of each student, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in small groups, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Educate and support parents and guardians on strategies to support their child's communication development, fostering a strong partnership between home and school.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.
- Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology and special education, applying this knowledge to inform your practice and improve student outcomes.
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
- Commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
