Associate Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team at Travelers Insurance. As a Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys and legal teams in the preparation and management of legal cases.

• Compile and draft legal documents, including routine documents, discovery responses, and affidavits.
• Prepare initial pleadings and filings, as well as exhibits and demonstrative evidence.
• Coordinate requests between multiple parties involved in litigation, including subpoenas and record requests.
• Conduct preliminary legal research and assist attorneys in trial preparation.
• Capture time and record billable hours in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Review incoming mail and draft correspondence and email as needed.
• Act as a liaison with experts and witnesses, scheduling appearances and depositions, and retrieving documentation.
• Maintain attorney calendars, diaries, and tickler dates, and review calendars daily to proactively handle upcoming events.
• Input and maintain information into case management systems, ensuring data integrity.
• Assist with projects as requested, and perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of paralegal or related work experience.
• Paralegal certification from an ABA-certified program is highly desirable.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF software.
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify urgency and prioritize tasks accordingly.
