Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join their team in Concord, North Carolina.

Job Summary

The CT Technologist will perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, operating CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient, referring and questioning orders to the Radiologist as needed.
  • Properly identify and assist patients, preparing them for procedures with a full explanation and documenting on appropriate worksheets.
  • Interview patients for a complete medical history, reviewing in-patients, ER, and outpatients EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical history.
  • Assume responsibility for the exam from beginning to completion, preparing and administering IV contrast according to departmental protocols.
  • Evaluate technical quality of images and consult with a Radiologist if needed, recognizing abnormal anatomy and processing additional images as instructed.
  • Perform basic patient care functions, informing nursing personnel of any changes in the patient's condition and initiating life support measures as necessary.
  • Operate radiology computer system to enter orders and charge procedures/supplies, documenting contrast administration in the MAR.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • ARRT certification in Radiology, or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire.
  • CPR certification.
