MRI Imaging Specialist

As an MRI Technologist at Health First, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. You will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, preparing patients for exams, and producing high-quality images that aid in accurate diagnoses. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Document patient information, exam results, and other relevant data accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Certified and Registered in Radiography or Radiation Therapy by the ARRT, or equivalent certification.
- Advanced ARRT (MRI) examination obtained within two years of hire/transfer.
- Prior MRI experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Computer-related skills deemed pertinent for optimal technical performance.
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Able to walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
- Able to move, lift, or position patients as required.
- Able to push wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds.
- Able to work effectively and efficiently in a stressful work environment.
- Able to respond to life-threatening situations.
