Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Anesthesiology Medical Director to oversee our anesthesia department. This leadership role is essential for ensuring high-quality patient care and effective management of our anesthesia team.

Team Structure:
The anesthesia division comprises a skilled group of 6 Anesthesiologists and 3 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). Daily operations involve 2 Anesthesiologists and 3 CRNAs managing 4 operating rooms, with an additional MD available for obstetric coverage.

Focus of the Role:
This position is primarily centered on operating room cases, which encompass a variety of surgical specialties including general surgery, gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, gynecology, and obstetrics.

Compensation Package:
The annual compensation for this role is competitive, starting at $500,000, which includes a $450,000 annual salary on a 1099 basis, plus a $50,000 stipend for Medical Director responsibilities. A comprehensive benefits package is also provided, including coverage for malpractice insurance and health benefits that commence on the first day of employment.

Work Schedule:
The work schedule follows a 3-week rotation, consisting of 11 working days within a 21-day cycle. The schedule includes a mix of weekdays and weekends, with rotating on-call duties. The structure allows for 9 consecutive days off after the rotation.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in the field of anesthesiology
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities
