The Senior Account Manager serves as the primary liaison for some of 919's most significant clients. This role encompasses the initiation, execution, and enhancement of marketing initiatives for high-profile clients, working closely with various internal teams. The ideal candidate excels in managing client expectations through proactive communication, effective project oversight, and strategic recommendations. This position plays a crucial role in the team, assisting the Account Supervisor with strategic projects, mentoring junior staff, and exemplifying outstanding account management practices. Expectations Include:

  • Acting as the main contact for high-caliber clients, juggling multiple intricate client relationships concurrently.
  • Serving as the industry expert on effective campaign strategies for clients.
  • Taking full responsibility for all client communications, ensuring tasks are completed, expectations are realistic, and schedules are adhered to. The Senior Account Manager will manage multi-brand, multi-service clients with substantial monthly retainers.
  • Organizing, preparing, and distributing client meeting agendas and delivering conference reports.
  • Leading client meetings and providing strategic recommendations, with support from the designated Account Supervisor when necessary.
  • Facilitating the flow of information between clients and internal teams, heavily utilizing the internal project management system to assign tasks and ensure accountability.
  • Developing and analyzing dashboards and scorecards, reviewing client performance metrics, and preparing insights for client meetings regarding marketing strategies, outcomes, and future actions.
  • Creating reports (documents, presentations, etc.) that effectively communicate data-driven narratives and key highlights to client leadership.
  • Ensuring quality control by verifying that tasks are completed accurately and meet both client and agency standards.
  • Regularly monitoring client KPIs related to work performed by 919 to guarantee successful outcomes.
  • Completing progress reports for the Account Supervisor, Directors, and clients.
  • Managing and tracking substantial budgets, informing internal teams and communicating strategic budget adjustments.
  • Continuously seeking innovative methods to enhance client campaign results.
  • Assisting the Account Supervisor in identifying upsell opportunities for clients, creating and maintaining account plans that highlight high-growth prospects and target accounts.
  • Traveling to client conferences and meetings as necessary.
  • Mentoring junior employees and interns, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Staying informed about marketing trends, engaging with internal experts, and enhancing knowledge of 919's products and services (digital, PR, SEO, etc.).
  • Performing other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business administration is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, project management, or customer service within the marketing sector.
  • Agency experience is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Outstanding task management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks and relationships with large brand clients across various industries.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and hold cross-functional team members accountable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively both internally and externally, serving as a role model for junior employees.
  • Proficient in presenting information with accurate insights and recommendations through various communication channels.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a rapidly changing digital environment.
  • A collaborative team player who is highly motivated and solution-oriented, with a strategic mindset.
