Behavioral Health Nurse Manager Opportunity
Connecticut Children's is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Nurse Manager to lead our team and provide exceptional care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities and operations of the department, ensuring quality care and efficient use of resources.
- Establish and maintain a flexible staffing plan to meet the needs of our patients.
- Recruit, hire, and orient new staff members, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
- Participate in the performance management process, providing ongoing feedback and coaching to staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality care and best practices are implemented across the care continuum.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant nursing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in pediatrics, emergency, or behavioral health settings.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification, with Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) required within 3 months of hire.
