Role Overview:

  • Conduct radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Ensure accurate positioning, technique, and identification of radiographic images.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all radiographic apparatus and apply appropriate anatomical positioning techniques.
  • Modify technical parameters based on patient demographics and anatomical areas to reduce radiation exposure.
  • Handle digital imaging cassettes and verify patient identification.
  • Review physician orders and effectively manage emergency situations.
  • Keep workstations organized and adequately supplied.
  • Assist in the procurement and inventory management of departmental supplies and equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, staff, and patients.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Current certification in Radiography (ARRT).

Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CA DPH).
  • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City).
