Overview: Soliant is seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students, ensuring they receive the support needed to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement tailored IEPs for students with speech and language needs, ensuring their unique requirements are met.
  • Speech and Language Therapy: Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress, share knowledge, and coordinate efforts.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology, applying new knowledge to improve services.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to school staff on speech and language development, enhancing their understanding and ability to support students.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Michigan state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Michigan Department of Education Certification: Certification for Speech-Language Pathologists, meeting all state educational and examination requirements.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of IDEA and state and federal regulations governing special education, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
