Bilingual Caseworker

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Community Services Worker III to join our team at the Health Care Agency in Ventura County. As a key member of our team, you will provide transportation, referral, translation, and program-related services to culturally, economically, physically, or mentally impaired or disadvantaged individuals in the community.

• Assist professional staff in providing transportation, referral, translation, and program-related services to clients.
• Provide translation and/or services, schedule appointments, and purchase food and supplies for clients who are physically or mentally impaired.
• Refer individuals and families to available community educational, medical, legal, and employment resources.
• Keep records of clients served, payments received, and clinic activities.
• May lead group presentations and workshops on specialized topics, including substance abuse, home management skills, job skills, or health and nutrition.

• Any combination of education and experience which has led to the acquisition of the required knowledge and abilities, which can be demonstrated by three (3) years' public social service experience or one (1) year of experience equivalent to that of a Community Services Worker II.
• Fifteen (15) semester units of college coursework in social sciences, ethnic studies, communications, or a closely-related field may be substituted for six (6) months' experience up to a total of one (1) year.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are required.

This position requires the incumbent to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
