Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Midwest Vision Partners. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a critical role in the care of patients in our clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and perform diagnostic ophthalmic tests and procedures, including visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry.
  • Accurately record patient information and update charts/records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, including sterilization and cleaning.
  • Interact with patients to gather information and enter it into our electronic medical records system.
  • Proactively engage patients in communicating what to expect with the visit and continue to communicate delays or any other changes with the patient.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
