Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team at Thorne Ambulance Service. As a Paramedic, you will play a critical role in providing emergency medical care to patients in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for service, providing basic and advanced life support to patients.
  • Work collaboratively with Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Complete patient care reports in a timely and accurate manner, utilizing strong written communication skills.
  • Maintain station and unit equipment, ensuring all necessary tools are on-board and in proper working condition.
  • Participate in regular training opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED, with a degree preferred.
  • Must have and maintain certification as a State & Nationally Registered Paramedic.
  • Must possess valid and current BLS for Healthcare Providers, ACLS, PHTLS, PALS, and Defensive Driving credentials.
  • Must have an Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move 150lbs independently (300lbs with a partner).
  • Able and willing to be seated, standing, walking, etc. for lengthy periods of time.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Ability to successfully mitigate stressful situations with co-workers, healthcare providers, patients, and the general public.
