Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with acute and chronic wounds, considering their medical history and unique needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for wound care, including appropriate dressings, therapies, and interventions.
  • Perform wound debridement and assist in minor surgical procedures as required.
  • Collaborate with wound care nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize healing outcomes.
  • Monitor wound healing progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families about proper wound care techniques and preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and documentation.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in wound care and evidence-based practices.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Physician Assistant, with specific experience in Wound Care and wound management.
  • Certification in Wound Care (CWCA or CWS) is highly preferred.
