Job SummaryUnder the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Surgical Technologist will scrub for surgical procedures and demonstrate expertise as a member of the surgical team. Key responsibilities include preparing and maintaining supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. The ideal candidate will support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center and participate in quality improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
- Support the surgical team during procedures
- Participate in quality improvement activities
- Support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center
- Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician
- Experience with all types of sterilizers
- Knowledge of operating room instrumentation
- Ability to prepare reports and keep records
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
