Production Supervisor Rail Weld Line Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our Rail Mill team at our Pueblo, Colorado plant. As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee the Weld Line operation, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacture of high-quality rail products.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records and reports, including employee time cards and production metrics
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety and well-being
- Implement LEAN tools and processes to drive continuous improvement and efficiency
- Supervise the shipping of finished products and ensure timely delivery
- Develop and coach employees to achieve daily production goals and manage delays
- Stay up-to-date with collective bargaining agreements and company policies
- Write and issue Improvement Action Reports as needed
- Process and document grievances in accordance with company policy
- Three years of steel manufacturing experience
- One year of front-line supervisory or team leader experience managing cross-functional teams
- Knowledge and experience with flash butt welding of rail or special sections, sawing, and gag press operations
- High mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot processes
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to motivate production teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivity
- Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent, preferred
- Three years of rail or special section finishing experience or rail welding experience, preferred
- Experience with database development, statistical process control, process control, and automation technologies, preferred
- Experience with Oracle quality and production modules and Oracle 11i requisitioning, preferred
- Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- $75,000 - $90,900 per year
