Job Summary

Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team on a travel basis. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our medical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment as needed.
  • Prepare operating rooms, setting up equipment and ensuring that all necessary supplies are available.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Participate in pre- and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and addressing any questions or concerns.
Requirements
  • BLS and Surgical Tech Certification required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a surgical setting, with a strong skill set in knowledge for hearts, transplants, and neuro, robotics.
  • Ability to work independently in decon and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
