We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse RN to join our team in the Operating Room at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will deliver exceptional patient care for same-day surgeries.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the anesthesia team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Assist in transferring patients from the stretcher to the operating table and vice versa, providing support in lifting and positioning patients.
- Act as a patient advocate throughout the surgical process, offering support before, during, and after surgery.
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is mandatory. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must possess a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in Operating Room nursing, specifically in Orthopedic or Spine/Neuro OR, is required. Will consider Main/General or Ambulatory OR experience, provided expertise includes Circulatory and Scrub Operating Room RN.
- BLS or CPR certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
- Ability to practice utilizing the recommended standards and guidelines of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN).
Full-Time: 32 hours/week - Day Shift. Rotating weekends and holidays, on-call rotation is required for all shifts. Explore eligibility and details regarding the available sign-on bonus. Experience Nurses with one (1) or more years of expertise receive additional hourly specialty pay, enhancing the base pay compensation.
