Job Description
  • Assist the school physician in conducting physical, visual, and auditory screenings for students and employees.
  • Provide first aid and emergency treatment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate health records for school authorities.
  • Support immunization clinics and arrange transportation for students or employees requiring medical attention.
  • Conduct regular safety and sanitary inspections of the school plant, playground, and cafeteria.
  • Order, inventory, and manage first aid and related health supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with attendance teachers and staff on various health-related matters.
  • Prepare records and reports as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A deep understanding of nursing principles and techniques, as well as their application in medical practices.
  • A working knowledge of material-medical, dietetics, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
  • The ability to apply nursing techniques and practices effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, teachers, parents, and others.
  • The capacity to plan and supervise the work of sub-professional and non-technical personnel.
  • Good observation skills and mental alertness.
  • Firmness, initiative, patience, emotional stability, and a sympathetic attitude toward those who are ill.
  • A strong moral character and physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
Minimum Qualifications

You must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from a school of nursing approved by the State Education Department.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
