Position Type: Full Time, 40 hours/week
Overview:
As a Radiologic Technician, you will conduct radiographic examinations at a proficient level, requiring minimal oversight on technical aspects. You will take ownership of the procedures you perform and carry out additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
Must be a high school graduate or possess an equivalent qualification. Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
Licensure:
ARRT certification is mandatory.
Additional Skills:
Proficiency in radiologic techniques and a solid understanding of human anatomy are essential.
Working Conditions and Requirements:
This role demands the ability to:
1. Operate x-ray machinery, including mobile units and other devices.
2. Handle cassettes and select appropriate exposure settings.
3. Assess radiographic images.
4. Lift, move, and transport patients as necessary.
5. Maintain a standing position and walk for extended periods.
6. Identify emergency situations and respond appropriately.
7. Adapt to high-pressure scenarios while communicating effectively.
Equipment Proficiency:
Familiarity with radiographic machinery, processing equipment, and computer systems is expected.
