YOUR ROLE:
You will be an integral part of our team, responsible for implementing quality control practices in building automation systems. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a focus on collaboration and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and install control logic in alignment with project specifications and company standards.
- Supervise subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Lead on-site project activities including systems checkout and commissioning.
- Create and modify graphical user interfaces as per project needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system installations and modifications.
- Manage materials and resources necessary for project completion.
- Analyze system operations and implement improvements as needed.
- Demonstrate proficiency in electrical principles and safety practices.
- Exhibit extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and their control sequences.
- Assist the design team with technical expertise related to control systems architecture.
- Ensure successful deployment of automation systems on existing networks.
- Provide regular updates on project status to the team.
- Foster positive relationships with coworkers and clients.
- Participate in ongoing process evaluation and improvement initiatives.
- Offer technical support to team members as required.
- Stay informed about industry advancements and assist in implementing new technologies.
- Prepare professional correspondence and documentation.
- Mentor and support entry-level employees.
- Assist with project estimating and proposals as necessary.
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours service calls.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A 4-year degree in Engineering (HVAC/Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a 2-year Associate Degree with relevant experience.
- Familiarity with the Tridium Niagara Platform is preferred, with Niagara4 Certification being a strong asset.
- Experience with Distech Controls and leading building automation projects is highly desirable.
- Networking experience is advantageous, particularly with Trane, Johnson Controls, Alerton, Automated Logic, and Siemens.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes, including ASHRAE, NFPA, UL, NEC, and Wisconsin State Administrative Codes for HVAC.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical and construction safety practices.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The physical demands of this role require the ability to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. Candidates must be capable of lifting and transporting necessary tools and materials, and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in various environments.
