UTMB Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist I to join our team in providing high-quality patient care and technical expertise in diagnostic radiography.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care and Preparation: Ensure accurate patient identification, assess patient needs, and provide education to prepare patients for radiographic procedures.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Safely operate computer and radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Perform quality control measures to ensure accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work, maximizing productivity and patient satisfaction.
- Image Production and Documentation: Prepare patient films for radiologist interpretation and accurately document images in Radiology Information System and PACS.
- Professional Development and Safety: Participate in departmental in-services, maintain HIPAA compliance, and adhere to internal controls and reporting structure.
- Education and Certification: Associate's degree or radiologic graduate from an accredited radiography program, ARRT(R) registered or registry eligible, and Certified as a Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board.
- Work Environment: Standard clinical setting with some lifting, moving, and positioning of patients and equipment.
- Security Clearance and Pre-Employment Testing: Security clearance required; pre-employment drug testing also required.
