Position: Lead FullStack Developer
Note: Hybrid work arrangement available for candidates based in New York (Contract to Hire Opportunity)
In this pivotal role within the application development team, you will spearhead the technical development and maintenance of internal web applications that support our Rating division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive business value through the development and enhancement of applications.
- Lead the development team in design, coding, and unit testing processes.
- Collaborate with database developers, infrastructure teams, web developers, and other stakeholders as necessary.
- Effectively communicate and interface with business partners.
- Assess, plan, and direct technical strategies and architectural decisions.
- Exhibit a strong sense of ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, including requirement gathering, technical specifications, design, architecture, implementation, unit testing, deployment, and code management.
- Work collaboratively with both onsite and remote team members.
- Independently manage and execute complex technical requirements.
- Act as an enthusiastic mentor to the development team.
- Demonstrate self-motivation while being an excellent team collaborator.
Essential Skills:
- Over 9 years of experience in Java J2EE for web application development.
- At least 5 years of experience with relevant frameworks and technologies (Hibernate, RESTful services, Spring JDBC, MVC, etc.).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in UI development using React, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
- Experience with Oracle WebLogic and Tomcat, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with API management and cloud services (AWS, Google).
- Working knowledge of DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, etc.
- Understanding of Test-Driven Development practices, as well as Automation and Unit Testing.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Experience in architecting and developing large-scale enterprise applications.
- Proficient in agile development methodologies.
- Experience in developing applications for the financial sector is a plus.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Candidates lacking a Computer Science or Information Technology degree should possess substantial relevant work experience.
