We are looking for a highly motivated Air Quality Engineer/Scientist to perform professional engineering work, executing compliance and permitting functions in relation to Air Quality Regulations and Compliance. This role involves reviewing processes and equipment, analyzing permit-related technical and regulatory issues, and communicating those analyses within Yorke, the client organization, with government agencies and with the public at large.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze Air Quality Regulations and Compliance requirements;
  • Perform process and equipment reviews;
  • Develop and implement Air Quality Permitting strategies;
  • Conduct Air Dispersion Modeling and Air Quality Assessments;
  • Prepare reports and submissions in a timely manner;
  • Collaborate with clients, staff, and regulators to ensure compliance and quality work product.

Requirements:

  • B.S or M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant technical degrees from an accredited college (minimum GPA of 3.0);
  • 5-15 years of work experience in the Air Quality and/or Environmental industry in an engineering role (preferably in a consulting environment);
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint skills (required);
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team fashion, handle several projects at once, prioritize work, and work efficiently.
