As a key member of the Ocean House Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and comfort for our guests. Your duties will include:

  • Exhibiting Ocean House Management core values and standards of behavior, including adherence to Forbes 5-Star standards.
  • Collecting dirty linens and trash from guest rooms in accordance with our "green program" guidelines.
  • Emptying trash containers and collecting obvious trash materials and removing from room.
  • Dusting all hard surfaces, vacuuming all carpet, and wiping or mopping all hard floor surfaces.
  • Cleaning bathroom sinks and vanity areas, refreshing and straightening up guest sundries.
  • Cleaning commodes and replacing toilet tissue as required.
  • Cleaning showers and tubs, including fixtures, walls, and shelving, and rinsing floors to ensure no remaining film, hairs, or other blemishes remain.
  • Remaking beds and replacing linens as needed.
  • Arranging room amenities, such as clocks, lamps, reading materials, chairs, and draperies, in accordance with Ocean House room presentation standards.
  • Picking up and neatly folding or arranging guest belongings left in rooms.
  • Removing any remaining dirty china, glass, and silver from previous room service or amenity deliveries.
  • Restocking room attendant service carts as needed to ensure maximum efficiency and availability of items throughout the shift.
  • Affirmatively and proactively engaging guests in hallways and rooms with friendly and pleasant greetings and appropriate conversation if called for.
  • Asking guests if there are any other needs you may assist with and providing a warm farewell.


Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that daily reports, logs, and other required reporting is completed and pertinent information is accurately documented and passed on to housekeeping management.
  • Maintaining room number confidentiality and key control.
  • Other reasonable requests by guests.
  • Other duties as assigned.
