Leadership Role in Nursing at Bothwell Regional Health Center

The Nurse Leader at Bothwell Regional Health Center is tasked with supervising the nursing practices and ensuring exceptional patient care within the Critical Care Unit. This position reports directly to the Director of the CCU and is pivotal in managing unit operations and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of the needs and responsibilities associated with patients in the Critical Care Unit.
  • Provides direction by organizing and prioritizing patient care, collaborating effectively with team members, and executing multidisciplinary strategies.
  • Holds oneself and the nursing staff accountable for performance and ongoing enhancement.
  • Guarantees adherence to established professional standards of care.
  • Aids in the administration of the Critical Care Unit through evaluations, scheduling, and educational initiatives.
  • Engages in committee and task force activities as designated.
  • Ensures the completion of clinical procedures, documentation, and patient education initiatives.
  • Undertakes any additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing with a preference for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Licensure/Certification: Must possess a valid and current nursing license from the appropriate state board. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification/CPR is mandatory. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), or Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) certifications are required.
  • Work Experience: Successful completion of hospital orientation is necessary. A minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse is preferred.
