Salary and Job DetailsThe estimated salary for this position is $60,000 per year, with a work schedule of 20 hours per week, including 8 hour shifts during the day.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in San Quentin, California. As a Physical Therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will be responsible for the physical therapy management of patients under the direction and supervision of the Rehabilitation Services Director.
You will evaluate patients and interpret evaluation findings to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction, establish treatment goals, and plan treatment to achieve established goals.
You will also initiate discharge planning from physical therapy, implement the treatment program through direct treatment of the patient, delegate a portion of the treatment plan to appropriate supportive personnel, and coordinate the treatment plan with other healthcare personnel as appropriate.
You will provide advice and education to patients and families, regularly assess clinical signs and symptoms to determine the effectiveness of treatment, progress of patients towards goals, and the need for modifying goals and treatment.
You will discharge patients from physical therapy when they have received maximum benefit from physical therapy, provide accurate and timely documentation of physical therapy patient management, and demonstrate progress toward meeting the criteria for professional practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a bachelors or masters or doctoral degree with certification in physical therapy or foreign-trained equivalent by date of hire.
- A valid Physical Therapist License (California) required at hire.
- A National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Basic Life Support required at hire.
