About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SUE Technician III to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a key member of our SUE Services team, you will play a critical role in mitigating risks associated with new infrastructure design and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our team of experts to identify utility conflicts using electromagnetic and geophysical technologies.
  • Designate existing utilities and work closely with project managers and discipline leads to ensure project needs are met.
  • Operate and drive a vacuum excavation truck, performing test holes to expose utilities and utilizing appropriate maintenance of traffic.
  • Coordinate survey work and supervise activities of field crew, training junior crew members as needed.
  • Represent Colliers Engineering & Design in the field, communicating and coordinating with utility companies and clients.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in using electromagnetic and geophysical designating technologies.
  • Experience with vacuum excavation preferred.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new technologies and basic computer skills.
  • Proficient communication and internal collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and occasionally travel out of town.
  • Good driving skills and a clean driving record.
  • Prioritization of safety for yourself and others.
