About the Position

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Surgical Specialty Clinics at the Phoenix VA Healthcare System. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate LPN to work in our Surgical Specialty Clinics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement effective plans of care to meet patients' needs
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Arizona
  • At least one year of experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
