Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer to assist our library staff and patrons with various tasks and projects. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting the library's mission to provide excellent service to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist library staff with daily tasks and projects
  • Support patrons with research and other library-related needs
  • Participate in book discussion groups and other library programs
  • Help with shelving and maintaining library collections
  • Assist with special events and programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by library staff
Requirements
  • Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must consent to and pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Knowledge of library procedures and policies
  • Ability to work congenially with staff, patrons, and other volunteers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a library or similar environment
  • Knowledge of library software and systems
  • Ability to lift and move objects as needed
