Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service, ensuring customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
  • Department Operations: Establish and maintain a safe, clean environment, and monitor all functions, duties, and activities related to the bakery department.
  • Sales and Profit Goals: Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department, and control all established quality assurance standards.
  • Team Management: Promote trust and respect among associates, communicate company, department, and job-specific information, and empower associates to meet or exceed targets through teamwork.
  • Training and Development: Train and develop associates on their job performance, participate in the performance appraisal process, and create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated.
  • Inventory Management: Plan and organize the inventory process, maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions, and note any discrepancies.
  • Safety and Security: Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and practicing preventive maintenance.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Math Skills: Basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
  • Food Handlers Permit: Current food handlers permit once employed.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, with any management experience and bakery/retail experience preferred.
