Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled State and Local Tax Associate to join our team. As a State and Local Tax Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional tax services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Integrate state and local tax services with existing clients to provide comprehensive tax solutions.
- Complete tax planning and research tasks to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance.
- Develop an understanding of state and local tax regulations and accounting pronouncements to stay up-to-date on industry developments.
- Review client tax processes to identify inefficiencies and provide enhancements to improve tax efficiency and reduce tax exposure.
- Work with clients' IT personnel to obtain data for tax analysis and reporting.
- Assist clients with evaluating sales/use tax software systems to meet compliance needs and support implementation.
- Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Accounting major with a strong understanding of tax principles.
- Travel to client locations is required, and must have access to reliable transportation.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
- Working toward CPA certification with a focus on tax services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work effectively on a team to achieve common goals.
- Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and deliver results.
