We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to lead our expansion into the North American oil and gas market.

About Tephra

Tephra is a leading provider of IT outsourcing services, consulting, products, BPO, and platform services. Our client's E&R sales team is looking for a senior sales professional to execute regional sales and business development strategies.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for securing new clients, developing revenue-producing relationships with CxO level executives, and driving the sales cycle from initial prospect communication through contract execution. Key responsibilities include:

  • Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by executing business development, offering positioning, and sales strategies as part of the E&R sales team.
  • Generating leads, prospecting, and managing sales activities to build an optimal sales channel.
  • Developing strong relationships with senior management at leading North American oil and gas companies, including upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
  • Managing the end-to-end sales process for all qualified opportunities, including initial client communication, on-site presentations, RFI response, multi-day client workshops, RFP submission, negotiation, and deal signing.
  • Collaborating with presales teams and delivery teams to ensure proposed offerings meet customers' business and technology needs.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in business development and sales leadership within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to develop trust with CxO level executives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to establish credibility and interest.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or engineering.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
