Full-time with Weekend Commitment - Day shift - 7:30am-6:00pm

Allied Health

POSITION SUMMARY:

As an integral member of the surgical team, you will provide essential technical support to the surgeon during surgical procedures under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

In instances where you are not directly assisting in a surgical procedure, you may engage in patient care activities under the supervision of the Surgical Assistant Coordinator or a Registered Nurse.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing for procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and ensure the availability of necessary surgical instruments.
  • Support patient care initiatives as directed by healthcare professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic knowledge and skills required; High School diploma or GED equivalent; 1-3 years of relevant experience; Familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment; Proficiency in hospital computer systems; Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program; Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
