CT Technologist, Medical Imaging Specialist

Mercyhealth is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team of medical imaging professionals. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform computed tomography procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
- Administer x-radiation to patients as necessary to produce high-quality images.
- Alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and take call as needed to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Flex hours and overtime as necessary to provide quality patient care.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
- Radiographer experience preferred.
- CT experience preferred.
- ARRT Radiography registration required.
- ARRT Computed Tomography registration required (or must be obtained within two years of hire).
- IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois.
- WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin.
- Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Occupational exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of radiation is present.
Age of Patients ServedNeonate (birth – 28 days), Infant (29 days – less than 1 year), Pediatric (1 year – 12 years), Adolescents (13 years – 17 years), Adult (18 years – 64 years), Geriatric (65 years and older).
Information AccessAccess to patient care information is necessary to perform job duties.
Work Contact GroupPhysicians, patient/families, vendors, public, regulatory and government agencies, other hospital and clinic personnel.
