About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Consultant to join our team at Proxima. As a key member of our Professional Services practice, you will work closely with clients to develop and implement cost transformation strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize market insights and industry knowledge to drive informed decision making with clients, impacting their commercial and operational performance of suppliers.
  • Gain and manage stakeholder engagement at all appropriate levels and influence effectively.
  • Provide input into client's scope of requirements and specification design, proposing best practice approaches to the market.
  • Develop robust strategies that challenge clients' thinking and drive cost transformation.
  • Develop negotiation plans and manage negotiation process with client and supplier(s).
  • Provide commercial input on contract terms and conditions with suppliers.
  • Agree mobilization plans and manage activities with client and supplier(s) as required.
  • Contribute to the development of Proxima's internal knowledge development in the Professional Services category.
About You
  • Operating in a client facing environment in a consultancy.
  • Strong professional services category knowledge - Legal, Consultancy, Audit, BPO.
  • Change management experience.
  • Experience of managing and coaching junior team members.
  • Demonstrable experience of articulating value propositions to clients.
  • Proven track record in delivering high quality, strategic Procurement projects.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically as required.
  • Excellent planning, negotiation, and written & oral communication skills.
  • Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation and data analytical skills.
