Job Title: Accounting Professor

Job Summary: Upper Iowa University is seeking a qualified Accounting Professor to join our team at the Fort Polk/Deridder Centers. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of Accounting courses face-to-face in the evening.

Responsibilities:

• Teach graduate and/or undergraduate students in assigned course(s);
• Develop and/or implement the class syllabus once it meets School standards;
• Plan and create course materials such as lectures, discussions, and assignments;
• Assign grades for students based on such criteria as participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations;
• Collaborate with colleagues on course design, content, and curriculum;
• Meet all scheduled class periods;
• Be available to students for individual consultation;
• Assist students on how to be successful in class;
• Stay current within field of study;
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Master's Degree;
• Strong commitment to the mission, vision, and strategic goals of Upper Iowa University;
• Committed to excellence in teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctorate;
• Practical experience.
