We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Prospective Payment System Coordinator to join our team at Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our patient information and Medicare reimbursement processes.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and monitor the completion of patient information for Medicare reimbursement, ensuring timely and accurate submission to CMS.
- Provide clinical support in the completion of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility – Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI), ensuring accuracy in the scoring of functional status and reflection of patient care needs.
- Assist in the ongoing monitoring of identified benchmarks for the inpatient rehab population, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to capture accurate patient assessments and treatment plans, facilitating achievement of expected outcomes.
- Verify appropriate case mix group (CMG) designation through chart review, staff interview, and collaboration with the rehab medical director.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to ensure accurate and timely completion of the IRF-PAI and other clinical documentation.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Therapist (all therapy disciplines accepted) in the state of Colorado.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in Nursing or Physical Therapy.
- Prefer at least 2 years of previous experience as a licensed clinician in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, with a working knowledge of IRF-PAI and CARE Tool.
