Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the structural layout, sizing, and design of aircraft structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and enhance the performance and reliability of our products.
  • Analyze structural loads on composite laminates, metallic structures, and plastic components using empirical methods, hand calculations, and finite element analysis (FEA).
  • Conduct static and dynamic structural analyses using FEA tools, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support flight test planning, test execution, and aircraft modifications, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to complex structural engineering challenges, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, review, and approve structural designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop structural design guides and toolsets that can be used by other engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Proven experience in structural analysis and design, with a strong understanding of composite structures and their application to aircraft.
  • Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) toolsets, such as FEMAP or NASTRAN.
  • Proficiency with CAD software, such as Solidworks, NX, or CATIA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work with multiple engineering disciplines on an aggressive schedule, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
