We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiology Nurse to join our team at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. As a member of our interventional radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the interventional radiology department, including pre-procedure preparation, procedure assistance, and post-procedure recovery.
- Collaborate with interventional radiologists, radiologic technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, including medication administration, wound care, and pain management.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized plans to address these needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse licensure required.
- Applicable certification required within 1 year of hire.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Excellent IV skills and recent clinical background in interventional nursing required.
- Critical care, ED, or PACU experience preferred.
- Ability to lead an intraprofessional team in a clinical setting and demonstrate observational skills and prioritization.
