Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Centralia. As a critical care nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients requiring complex assessments and interventions.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain comprehensive data from patients, families, and healthcare providers to develop a holistic picture of patient needs or conditions.
  • Analyze and synthesize data to determine diagnoses or conditions relevant to care.
  • Develop and implement plans to attain outcomes, using clinical judgment in collaboration with patients, families, and interprofessional teams.
  • Contribute to the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, evaluating own practice and maintaining current knowledge and competence.
  • Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in healthcare to critical care nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
  • No experience required.
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Academy Pediatrics (AAP).
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA).
