New Grad RN Nurse Residency Program

About the Role: As a Resident I Graduate Nurse, you will work collaboratively with experienced nurse leaders, medical providers, and other members of the care team to deliver high-quality patient-centered care. You will be responsible for assessing patient condition, performing procedures, documenting patient information, administering medications, and promoting exceptional care through proactive problem-solving and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge patient condition during admission and throughout each shift, recognizing changes in status and reporting accordingly.
- Perform ordered procedures, monitoring, and functions as required by medical providers.
- Document patient administration of care in the medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
- Notify provider and intervene appropriately in case of unintended medication response.
- Promote exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating their needs proactively.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures, ensuring clear understanding through translation of complex medical terminology.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within one year. You must also have an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and hold a Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State. Some travel may be required for training.
