Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients and their families, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Nursing Care: Implement and monitor patient care plans, monitor and record patient condition, and communicate with patients and families to ensure their needs are met.
  • Coordinate Patient Care: Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, working with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Assess and Coordinate Discharge Planning: Assess patients' discharge planning needs and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth transition to post-acute care.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: Current RN licensure and BLS certification required; Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
